Parameter Name  : cleartrust.data.ldap.directory.iplanet.type
Parameter Value : <null>
Error Reason    : Parameter was not found. Should be a string value.
Error Location  : aserver.conf
13:54:54:544 [*] [main] - Thread requesting stream.
Configuration Exception( Parameter: cleartrust.data.ldap.directory.iplanet.type, Incorrect value: null, Reason: Parameter was not found. Should be a string value., Source: aserver.conf )
        at sirrus.util.conf.Configurator.getStringProperty(Configurator.java:549)

CauseAlthough this parameter has always been marked as a required parameter, prior to hotfix 6.0.4.43 this setting was not enforced for some datastore types.  This hotfix makes it mandatory.
Resolution

The following parameter must be set the ldap.conf file.  Note that the value of the datastore itself, for example iplanet, is variable, and is defined earlier in the ldap.conf file.  You must set this parameter for each of the datastores defined in your ldap.conf file.

# This required parameter specifies the type of the data store. RSA ClearTrust
# needs this information in order to handle differences between various LDAP
# directory implementations.
#
# Allowed Values:
#   String identifying this store to RSA ClearTrust.
#
cleartrust.data.ldap.directory.iplanet.type :iplanet

WorkaroundApplied hotfix 6.0.4.43 or later.
