IssueAXM-- 404.2 Error on first access to new virtual protected web site
When user Access a protected page of a newly added virtual host, we get following error message IIS web server logs log a 404.2 error message. 2005-10-11 23:22:41 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxxx GET /cleartrust/ct_logon.asp CTAuthMode=BASIC&language=en 80 - xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Mozilla/4.0+(compatible
CauseWhen an agent is installed it will install a virtual directory pointing to the ClearTrust login pages on the default webserver. If subsequent virtual servers are added later the ClearTrust virtual directory must be added later with IIS Manager or the pages described for login must be changed in webagent.conf to point to a valid directory or central login server.
ResolutionEnabling Virtual Host Support in IIS Web Server
1.       Create your virtual host sites on your IIS Web Server. Refer to your Microsoft IIS Web Server documentation for instructions on creating virtual hosts in IIS Web Server.
2.       From the IIS Manager application, create a virtual directory for each RSA ClearTrust-protected web server (virtual host) that will use form-based authentication.
Right-click on the Web Server Name, and select New Virtual Directory.
For the alias name, enter cleartrust.
For the directory, select the directory where the Agent login forms are installed (default is c:\Program Files\RSA\ClearTrust\IISAgent\htdocs).
3.       Declare each virtual host you want to protect (or unprotect) in webagent.conf.
