Auto Registration service is installed on client
RSA ACE/Server 5.x
RSA Authentication Manager 6.x
The auto client registration install did not add SecurID services to the services file
IssueAuto client registration not working in RSA ACE/Server; no errors are logged
Agent host not added to the ACE/Server database
Netmon proves that the registration service is not attempting to contact the ACE/Server
CauseIt is possible that the sdconf.rec used for the install has "resolve hosts and services by name checked" (not a default setting). This results in the registration service trying to resolve the sdadmin service in the local services file. If the entry is not there, then the service will fail.
ResolutionAs a workaround you could add the services manually:

sdlog 5520/tcp

sdserv 5530/tcp

sdadmind 5550/tcp

A better solution would be to uncheck the "Resolve hosts and services by name" checkbox in the ACE/Server Configuration Management tool, then copy the sdconf.rec from "path"/ace/data to the client. Use this sdconf.rec for all installs. If you are concerned about leaving this unchecked, you can check it again without issue.
