Issue | AXM - Available Hotfix to AM 6.0.4/Cannot view Smart Rules After upgrading from ClearTrust 5.5.3 to Access Manager 6.04, and applying Hotfix 6.0.4.41 ( 6.0.4.41), you may be unable to view smart rules in AdminGUI. The issue also may occur in hotfix releases 6.0.4.25 up to hotfix .41. Cause | Hotfix 6.0.4.25 introduced a dependency on a parameter in LDAP.conf. Older version of the product , specifically ClearTrust 5.5.x, did not use this parameter, therefore migrated .conf files will not contain it. Under the circumstance where the parameter does not exist in the ldap.conf, the null pointer exception will occur when trying to view smartrules. |
Resolution | To your ldap.conf, add the appropriate type of LDAP for the installation. For example: cleartrust.data.ldap.directory.activedirectory.type :activedirectory cleartrust.data.ldap.directory.activedirectory-bind.type :activedirectory |
Notes | For the directory type of "ad-adam" you must apply hotfix 6.0.4.43 or later to implement this fix. |
