RSA Access Manager Entitlements Server (EServer)
Cisco Load Director
These error messagescan occur whenever a client attempts to connect to the eservers SSL port using a clear bind. The connection will fail, and the SSL handshake will be dropped. This is has been noticed to occur when a load balancer is configured to simple TCP connection to the eserver (which is to determine that the system is up for failover or not).
|Issue||AxM 6.x: Remote host closed connection during handshake errors in eserver.log file|
Error in eserver or lserver log file for eserver:
sequence_number=75652,remote_client=eserver,2009-07-13 17:48:24:258 GMT,messageID=-2,internal_error,description='Remote host closed connection during handshake',details='javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Remote host closed connection during handshake'
|Resolution||Under this circumstance, the error messages may be ignored and are completely benign. There is a small overhead to the eserver due to the SSL binds, but this small overhead is extremely unlikely to be noticed in overall eserver utilization.|
The content switch may be configured to check the eserver status using SNMP instead of doing a TCP bind. The SNMP server uptime parameter will indicate that the eserver is up.
