IssueACE/Server startup aborts
CauseSystem crashed or was rebooted without shutting down the ACE/Server software correctly.
ResolutionThe /etc/rc (or wherever they are located) startup scripts can contain commands that will automatically start the aceserver and sdconnect (see the Administration Manual) programs.

In order to ensure recovery after a powerfail, the following files should be removed during the execution of the "rc" script prior to starting sdconnect: aceserver.pid, aceserver.pgrp, sdlog.lk, and sdserv.lk.

Solution - In Startup rc script
1. rm ../ace/data/*.pgrp
2. rm ../ace/data/*.pid
3. rm ../ace/data/*.lk
4. ../ace/prog/sdconnect start
5. ../ace/prog/aceserver start

Solution - In Shutdown rc script
1. ../ace/prog/aceserver stop
2. ../ace/prog/sdconnect stop
