|Issue||Assign Token button is grayed out in RSA ACE/Server|
A new user is added to database and a token assigned. The username is misspelled name so deleted. When re-adding deleted user, the assign token is grayed out.
|Cause||RSA ACE/Server has a 'watchdog' process monitoring the license level of the ACE/Server named 'jsed'. The jsed process has about a 1-minute refresh rate; so if you are at the very limit of your license and you delete a user, you may have to wait 1 minute to be able to add a new user with an assigned token.|
You can add user without issue, but the "Assign token ..." button will be grayed out until the next pass of jsed. Wait for a short while and go back in and edit the user record and the "Assign token ..." should now be activated.
On a 2-user promotional pack, this symptom is frequently seen due to the nature of the testing being carried out. However, the same symptom does also appear on any system at the limits of its licensing.
