|Applies To||RSA Authentication Manager 7.1|
Windows 2003 Server
|Issue||Authentication Manager 7.1 Replica install finishes with errors pointing to rsa_am_install.log|
rsa_am_install.log displays generic error: ProductException: (error code = 601; message="Failure executing E:\Program\SrvApps\RSA Authentication Manager/config/configUtil.cmd, return code=1")
Config_trace.log file displays the actual fault of the failed installation:" com.rsa.replication.SiteValidationException: The data dump file the_Server_name_instance-618427.dmp does not exist."
When the Manual option is selected during the replica package generation, two files are created:
Both files have to be downloaded and copied to the replica server to install the replica instance. While saving the dmp file a " " is may be added in the actual dmp file name but some browsers, this symptom has been seen if you have generated the replica package and downloaded it before. The FILE SAVE process adds a in the file name in order not to overwrite the existing file.
The replica install process will proceed normally and finish with a message indicating the install has finished with Errors and it points to the log files generated.
The rsa_am_install.log will contain a generic exception at the end of the log: (error code = 601; message="Failure executing E:\Program\SrvApps\RSA Authentication Manager/config/configUtil.cmd, return code=1")Check Program Files\RSA Security\RSA Authentication Manager\install\logs\config directory for the config_trace.log file. At the end of the log you should see the following error message:" com.rsa.replication.SiteValidationException: The data dump file the_Server_name_instance-618427.dmp does not exist."
|Resolution||To do a successful install of the replica, rename the dmp file and delete the from the file name. This will allow you to avoid this error during the replica installation.|
|Workaround||Replica install is done using the Manual option for the data file|

The current documentation can be found on RSA SecurCare Online, note that the documentation set has been revised with the release of service pack 4 updated on Nov 14th 2011. If an RSA Authentication Manager system is running an earlier version of software you should still use this documentation set and then upgrade your system to service pack 4 where required.
