|Applies To||RSA Authentication Manager 7.1 Service Pack 2|
Microsoft Windows 2003
|Issue||An unknown system error occurred|
|Cause||This error occurs when trying to configure a new RADIUS server in the RSA Operations Console if the RADIUS Operations Console service is not running. The main Operations Console (accessed at https://<server.fqdn>:7072/operations-console ) will attempt to make a connection to the RADIUS Operations Console at t3s://server.fqdn:7082 and will generate this error if the background service is not running.|
Ensure that the RADIUS Operations Console is running before carrying out this operation.
Note: On Windows the services control panel will report that the service is running before it has completed initialization. This can give a misleading result where you may think that the service is running but still get the error. To ensure that the service has completely started run the following command:
netstat -ano | find "7082"
The correct result should look like this:
TCP 192.168.0.10:7082 0.0.0.0 LISTENING 9999
The second column should reflect the IP address of your own server and the last column is a process ID so could be any value. When the service is not running or not completely started then the command will return no output.
