Uploading files
IssueHow to upload the files to a RSA SecurID Appliance 3.0?
Resolution1. SSH must be enabled on Appliance prior to making an attempt to upload the files. If you are not sure whether it is enabled,  log on to the Operations Console, and see the online help to enable SSH .
2. Log on to the Appliance with an SSH client, example: Using PuTTY is a SSH client for Windows.
    login as: emcsrv
password:      (whatever was supplied  for the Operating System Password during Appliance Quick Setup)
3. If you know what directory you need to upload files to,  skip to step  8
4. Change to root:
sudo su         (the Operating System password used above)
5. Create a directory to load files, for example :
     mkdir updates
6. Update permissions on the directory you created, to make it writable by all
    chmod 777 updates
7. Log out of the session as root, back to the permissions of the user emcsrv:
    type : exit
8. Change to that directory you created, or the one you plan on writing files, to verify the user emcsrv can get to that directory
9. Create a test file to verify emcsrv can create files in that directory
touch test1.txt     (or some other file name)
10. Remove the file you just created, to verify that you can
     rm touch.txt
11. Use a SCP client ( WinSCP is an example of a scp client for Windows) , log on to the appliance with the username: emcsrv, and the password for emcsrv , from above.
12. Navigate to the directory where you would like to put the files, and put the file(s) there
