|Issue||Error: "Security Check Error 006-ASP 0177-Server CreateObject Failed-800401f3"|
|Cause||When this error is displayed within the browser's RDP session, it is indicative of a corrupt installation of RSA SecurID Appliance 2.0.x. Please note that while this error indicates the SecurID installtion is corrupt, the database is most likely healthy.|
|Resolution||The only way to resolve this issue, is to back up your database(s), licenses and token seed records then restoring the appliance to factory default.|
The appliance backs up critical and system files weekly in a file named backupCab1.cab. Steps to restore the database using the backupCab1.cab are in the RSA SecurID Appliance 2.0 Guide on page 71. To run an immediate backup,
