Dell OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA)
IssueUnable to launch the Dell OpenManage Server Administrator on an RSA enVision Appliance.
Launching the Dell OpenManage Server Administrator utility from the start menu opens IE with address https://<system_name>:1311/?authType=ntlm&locallogin=true&application=omsa, and it shows ?page cannot be displayed?.
CauseIf the DSM SA Connection Service is not running you will get ?The page cannot be displayed? error.
Resolution

Check on the enVision appliance that the following services are running, start any that are not running:

DSM SA Connection Service
DSM SA Data Manager
DSM SA Event Manager
DSM SA Shared Services

Try going to https://x.x.x.x:1311 ,  where x.x.x.x is ip address of the enVision appliance.

If this gets the same error, trying stopping and starting the above services, and then try again.

 

If still getting same error try going to https://x.x.x.x:1311 ,  where x.x.x.x is ip address of the enVision appliance from IE on a PC that is in the same local network as the enVision appiance.

If IE on the local PC works, but the address continues to not work from the enVision appliance then in IE on the appliance please check:

Under Tools -> Options in the Advanced tab, check that "Use TLS 1.0" is enabled.

 

If Dell OpenManage does not accept the login credendtials.

Make sure your Administrator/master password is not blank.  If your server's name has an underscore in it, such as server_name, then type https://localhost:1311 instead.

Login, then go to Preferences -> General Settings -> Web Server and set it to bind to the IP address instead of Any.
