IssueArcher Control Panel Error Launching After Install - MMC Snap In - .NET 3.5

After installing 5.x, you get an error when trying to launch the ACP, Unhandled Exception in Managed Code Snap-in. This is very similar to another error received from not having .NET 3.5.

If you receive " MMC could not create the snap-in" and then get either of the two screenshots of errors then you need to install .NET 3.5

Resolution

To fix the issue you need to install Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5. Please, reference link below for more information on validating whether .NET 3.5 is installed on Windows Server 2008 R2 and how to install it.

**I have attached information from this link in a document named "Windows Server 2008 R2 for SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2.docx" to this article

For Windows 2008 R2 you go to Role Management and select Application server.
