IssueThe MD5 value of the downloaded iso image matches with the value in documentation. but the following error is seen:

mount: Operation not applicable to FSType udfs
Resolution
  1. Add the SUNWudfr and SUNWudf packages to the server.
  2. Once the packages are installed, reboot the server.  The mount command will work after that.

The UDF file system support is provided in the following new packages:

  • SUNWudfr -- 32-bit kernel component
  • SUNWudfrx -- 64-bit kernel component
  • SUNWudf -- /usr component

Review the documentation available from Sun.

Verifying the MD5 hash

root@authmgr7t # digest -a md5 -v solaris_sparc_64.iso
md5 (solaris_sparc_64.iso) = c70f3284958cb157bae6bedcae7f8fd9

If the MD5 value of the downloaded iso file matches with above value, you can proceed with the installation.
