IssueIs it possible to send email from the RSA SecurID Appliance 3.0 as it is shipped?
ResolutionThe RSA SecurID Appliance 3.0 is based on rpath, a security hardened Linux port.  While many standard Unix commands are available on the appliance, the standard mail/mailx/sendmail stack that is included in other Linux ports are not included.  Furthermore, if you attempt to install a standard 32-bit mail client from Linux rpm, since the executables are not signed by rpath, the rpm will fail to install.  No mail client services are provided with the appliance.  RSA support staff has submitted a request for enhancement to have this feature evaluated for a future release.
