IssueAdding a time server to the Internet Time Server list on an RSA SecurID Appliance
CauseBy default the RSA SecurID Appliance only provides the following servers: time.windows.com, time.nist.gov, time-nw.nist.gov, time-a.nist.gov and time-b.nist.gov
Resolution

A change to the registry is required to add additional time servers.

Warning: Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. RSA cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.

Use Registry Editor (regedit) to add or to modify the following registry entry:

Subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\DateTime\Server
Type: String Value
Value name: next number in the sequence (e.g. 6)
Value data: <fqdn of time server (e.g. time.rsa.net)>

Now select Start > Control Panel > Time and Date > Internet Time tab - use the down arrow to change the Server name to your required time server.
