IssueAllowable characters for OCS passphrases used with Keon Certificate Authority
Error: "x-passphrase-check.xuda: line 227 [XrcWriteFailure] unable to write data" in Web browser
ResolutionThe following characters may be used for passphrases on OCS cards used with nCipher on a KCA system:

        A-Z, a-z, 0-9 and ~`!@#$%^&*()_+-=|}{[]\:";'<>?,./<)]>]>

There is one proviso - during installation, you may choose to store the SystemCA keys with nCipher; for this specific instance, do not use the following characters:

        " ' * \

For operational CAs created after installation, the full set of characters may be used. RSA Security has also tested to ensure the character ranges can be used both in HTML pages prompting for passphrase values and also at the command line during startup.
