|Issue||AM 7.1 - Getting error code 2001 when installing SP2 on Win 2003|
18 Jan 08:19:38.491 INFO - Thread-80 - installfwrk.install - will execute command to install database
(log will show oracle_win64.bat on a windows 2008 machine)
If you are installing from a hard drive, the Oracle installation may not like the length or format of the directory name where the files are stored.
In this case:
|Resolution||By shortening the sub directory name and using a standard name, the installation program is able to complete successfully. In the example changing the installation path to c:\RSA71sp2 corrected the problem and the installation was able to complete successfully.|
This error can also occur if the registry setting: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem\NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation has been set to something other than the system default of either zero (2003) or 2 (2008).
