18 Jan 08:19:38.663 ERROR - Thread-80 - installfwrk.install - 2001 - System Error while installing RSA Authentication Manager database. Please report this error to your system administrator. Error code: 2001 - win/oracle_win32.bat
com.rsa.installfwrk.install.exception.InstallationException: win/oracle_win32.bat

(log will show oracle_win64.bat on a windows 2008 machine)

Cause

If you are installing from a hard drive, the Oracle installation may not like the length or format  of the directory name where the files are stored.

In this case:

c:\RSA 7.1 (SP2) INSTALL>

ResolutionBy shortening the sub directory name and using a standard name, the installation program is able to complete successfully.  In the example changing the installation path to c:\RSA71sp2  corrected the problem and the installation was able to complete successfully.

This error can also occur if the registry setting: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem\NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation has been set to something other than the system default of either zero (2003) or 2 (2008).
