IssueAll characters in URL field are converted to lower-case in RSA ClearTrust Entitlements Manager
Upper-case characters are converted to lowercase for URL strings in entitlements
CauseWhen typing in a resource name where the resource is a URL, the URL string will be converted into lower-case characters when saved into the ClearTrust server. The same conversion takes place when any URL test is made by the authorization server.
ResolutionThis is the correct behavior for ClearTrust; no fix is necessary. Simply remember a series of rules when setting up your application. On the Web server, you may have the following URLs:

    /casetest/cthome.htm
    /CaseTest/CTHome.htm
    /casetest/CTHOME.HTM

Most Web server documentation advises against this, since the ability to support the different pages listed becomes dependant on the operating system. So, on Windows 2000 with IIS or Apache /CaseTest is already the same as /casetest but UNIX would allow it and sees the two as different.

Given that we set up the three sample pages, you could set up the following application and protected resource in the ClearTrust admin GUI:

    Application        =        CTCaseTest
    Protected resource        =        /casetest/cthome.htm

This would then protect ALL three pages on the Web server.
