IssueToken import fails
Error: "failure in decoding ASCII token record"
CauseSeed records from Production were originally produced for UNIX ACE/Servers only and did not include the correct Line Feed character that DOS would understand.  Also if a token record was ftp'ed from a UNIX machine in binary mode, it would be absent the correct Line Feed character for DOS.
ResolutionThere are several conversion utilities which can be used to convert ascii files between UNIX format which uses a single newline character to start the next line and DOS format which uses a carriage return character and a linefeed character.

On a Solaris system, run the following command:
        unix2dos oldfile.asc convertedfile.asc

On an HP-UX system, run the following command:
        ux2dos oldfile.asc >convertedfile.asc

On an AIX system, run the following command:
        doswrite -a oldfile.asc convertedfile.asc

The above commands convert a file from UNIX format to DOS format to be put on diskette and brought to a Windows machine.  To convert the other way use the dos2unix, dos2ux, and dosread commands.  You can also FTP the file from a UNIX system to the NT system in ASCII mode and achieve the same results. Enter 'asc' at the ftp command prompt before transferring the file to make sure you are in ASCII transfer mode.
