|Issue||ACE/Server log shows "RADIUS server error: ACECLIENT returned AUTH_ACE_INVALID_ARG"|
Users are able to infrequently authenticate successfully.
Radius debug output shows, "No user or password in the packet"
Error: "RADIUS server error: ACECLIENT returned AUTH_ACE_INVALID_ARG"
|Cause||The authentication request sent to the ACE/Server may not have contained a user name or password. This error can occur if a user enters his user name then hits enter through the PASSCODE prompt.|
|Resolution||This may be a training issue. Instruct users not to hit return through the PASSCODE prompt. Verify that the device is passing on this required information.|
This also may indicate a problem with the user interface or operation of the end user or agent software. When the user enters their login name and continues on to enter their PASSCODE, a request packet is sent before the PASSCODE is entered and therefore sends a null PASSCODE, yielding the above errors.
