Cannot open the RSA Operations Console

####<Sep 14, 2011 5:25:18 PM EDT> <Warning> <HTTP> <securid.rules.net> <AdminServer> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <1316035518884> <BEA-101162> <User defined listener com.rsa.admin.tools.ServletContextDbInit failed: java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to initialize embedded database. java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to initialize embedded database

nested exception is java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver

Could not load JDBC driver class [org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver];

Unable to set the activation state to true for the application 'operations-console'

Cause

An examination of the AdminServer log  shows that there are two classpaths missing. The classpaths for the Operations Console are loaded from the rsaam script. Examination of the rsaam script shows that the new classpath entries for OC_CLASSPATH are not present. Simply searching for 'OC_CLASSPATH' should be sufficient. If this section is not present then the Operations Console will not be able to start normally.

The root cause of this issue is the application of the RSA SecurID Appliance Factory Reset Patch followed by other Service Pack 4 patches to an RSA SecurID Appliance 3.0 Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3 system. The RSA SecurID Appliance Factory Reset Patch should only be applied to RSA SecurID Appliance 3.0 Service Pack 2 or Service Pack if the intent is to immediately factory reset the device (as described on page 156 of the RSA SecurID Appliance 3.0 Owner?s Guide).

ResolutionRestore the Appliance to the state when it was first shipped out of the factory (as described on page 156 of the RSA SecurID Appliance 3.0 Owner?s Guide) and restore production data from a backup. Do not roll back the CAP version and attempt the correct upgrade path.
