IssueHow to find the Serial Number SN if an attached DAS has gone bad
If you have a customer that has a DAS that is attached to enVision that has a problem, you will need to open a case with EMC.  EMC will need to have the customer's DAS Serial Number.

To determine the DAS serial number (S/N), access the DAS Management Console.

1. Log into the DAS-2000 from the enVision ES appliance.
a. Open a web browser and navigate to https/<ipaddress of the DAS> (default
b. Answer Yes to the Security Alert message.
c. Enter the following username / password = master / themaster01
d. Click the ?Login? button.

2. On the left navigation window, click on "System Storage", and you will find the serial number.

The AX150 should have 500GB drives and the AX4 has 750GB drives.

If the DAS Navisphere Mangement Console is not reachable, the same serial number should also appear on a tag attached to the rear of the DAS-2000 appliance.
