IssueA "Catastrophic failure" error is displayed during the RSA enVision Panorama Z-Connector installation process.

During Panorama Z-Connector install on an enVision Collector appliance, the installer is getting the following error:

Feature: Install the connector component (LC) and update the configuration files.

Error: Catastrophic failure.

Resolution

Check the enVision appliance %_envision%\logs\install_panorama.log file, and take note of the last entry in the log file,

When the last line refers to the .ini files install location like below:
1000|407|_3-19-2014_10-22-57|Info --- .ini files will be installed here: \\10.203.2.101\vol0\nic\csd\config\collectoradapters\{System_Name}

This error can result from an inability to create files in the .ini files install location.

Confirm the login been used to install the Panorama Z-Connector has access and write permissions to the path, \\10.203.2.101\vol0\nic\csd\config (default location).

Installing the Panorama Z-Connector software with the master account is recommended.

Confirm the NAS location (\\10.203.2.101\vol0\nic\csd\config\collectoradapters\{System_Name}) has at least 2KB of free disk space.
