Issue.PDF file extensions in RSA Authenticator Utility and RSA SecurID Software Token
RSA Authenticator Utility.pdf and RSA SecurID Software Token.pdf are corrupt
CauseOn many systems, the .PDF file extension is taken to mean the Adobe Portable Document Format, and double clicking a PDF file launches Adobe Acrobat Reader and displays a read-only document such as a product manual. Some files such as "RSA Authenticator Utility.pdf" are unreadable.

NOTE: Microsoft SMS also uses the same PDF file extension to designate Package Definition files
ResolutionIn most instances, there is no corruption. Open the file with a text editor and see if it has an .INI file format. For example, the RSA Authenticator Utility.pdf is as follows:

 [PDF]
 Version = 2.0

 [Package Definition]
 Name = RSA Authenticator Utility
 Version = 1.00.0000
 Publisher = RSA Security Inc
 Language = English
 Programs = Setup
 MifFileName = RSAMIF
 MifName = RSA Authenticator Utility
 MifVersion = 1.00.0000
 MifPublisher = RSA Security Inc

 [Setup]
 Name = Automated Minimum Installation
 CommandLine = msiexec /m "RSAMIF" /qn /I "RSA Authenticator Utility.msi"
 SupportedClients = ALL
 UserInputRequired = False
 RemoveProgram = True
 UnInstallKey = {A4D77E89-6992-400F-96D4-E2A9C926F177}
