IssueMove ACE/Server from one machine to another.
Error: "ACE/Server start operation aborted"
Causesdconf.rec file was moved from Master server with different hostname and IP address.
ResolutionIf possible, run sdsetup -config from the new machine and make the hostname and IP address change. Make sure the hostname and IP address are listed in the /etc/hosts file on the new Master or in the DNS server before changing it in sdsetup -config.

Sometimes this is not possible because running sdsetup -config doesn't allow for making changes. In this case, run sdsetup -config on the old Master, and change the hostname and IP address there. Stop and start the ACE/Server on the old Master to make the change to the sdconf.rec file. Copy this new sdconf.rec file to the new Master's ace/data directory. The new Master should now have the appropriate hostname and IP address configured.
