IssueAfter rebuilding the SA server database on the SA server appliance, the tokumx service reports the following status:
[root@ESA  ~]# service tokumx status
tokumx dead but pid file exists

Once the /var/run/tokumx/tokumx.pid file is manually removed, the following status is reported:
[root@ESA  ~]# service tokumx status
tokumx dead but subsys locked
CauseThis issue occurs because /opt/rsa/database/tokumx is owned by root:root.
ResolutionIn order to resolve this issue, follow the steps below.
  1. Change the directory to where the database is located.
    [root@ESA ~]# cd /opt/rsa/database

  2. Change the ownership of the directory.
    [root@ESA database]# chown -R tokumx:tokumx .

  3. Verify that the ownership has been changed.
    [root@ESA database]# ls -ltr
    total 16
    drwxr-xr-x. 2 tokumx tokumx 12288 Aug  5 20:32 tokumx

  4. Restart the tokumx service.
    [root@ESA database]# service tokumx restart
