|Applies To||RSA Product Set: Identity Management and Governance|
RSA Product/Service Type: Appliance
RSA Version/Condition: 6.5.1
Product Description: Access Certification Manager
|Issue||When restoring a backup you receive the error similar to:|
ORA-39083: Object type OBJECT_GRANT failed to create with error:
ORA-01917: user or role 'AVUSER_RO' does not exist
|Cause||This issue can occur if in the source system you had added an additional database user for reporting, read only access, or some other purpose.|
|Resolution||To be able to restore the backup, the user reference in the portion of the error "user or role 'AVUSER_RO' does not exist" must be created and then the restore can be re-attempted.|
To add the user using the AVUSER_RO as an example:
su - oracle
sqlplus / as sysdba
CREATE USER AVUSER_RO identified by secret;
In this example the AVUSER_RO user is created and given a password of secret.
Now the restore should be able to complete and will be able to create the tables and views with rights for AVUSER and the additional user you added.
