IssueWhile it is observed that the Spectrum 9.8 UI starts, the Spectrum process is consuming 100% of CPU and may also crash.
CauseSpectrum does not clear out jobs tables after a crash, and this may cause the CPU to jump to 100%
ResolutionThe following tables need to be deleted in Spectrum to resolve this issue.  Run these sql commands on the Spectrum host in this order:

1. Become the user postrges:
             su postgres

2. Enter the sql interface, psql:
              psql spectrum

3. Enter this command at the pslq prompt to truncate the jobentity table:
              truncate table jobentity cascade;

4. Enter this command at the psql prompt to truncate the jobinstance table:
              truncate table jobinstance cascade;

5. Enter this command at the psql prompt to truncate the jobinstance table:
              truncate table jobentity_jobinstance;
6. Exit the psql interface to return to the command prompt:
               quit

7. Restart jetty:
              stop jettysrv
               start jettysrv
The process should no longer spike Spectrum to 100% CPU usage.
