RSA Product/Service Type: Authentication Agent for Windows
RSA Version/Condition: 7.2.1
Platform: Windows
O/S Version: 7 Professional (64 bit)
IssueThe RSA Authentication Agent (LAC) handles the special characters properly.  Authentication succeeds if Windows Password Integration is not enabled.
Authentication fails if
Windows Password Integration is enabled and the supplied password contains special characters.  Examples include, but are not limited to, characters such as å, ä, ö, Å, Ä, Ö, £ (pound sign) and € (Euro sign).
CauseAuthentication Manager 8.1 can handle all special characters when authenticating through the RSA Authentication Agent.  The agent can also handle the special characters and pass the password credential to Windows. Password integration is fails because it uses disconnected authentication API which supports only extended ASCII characters.
ResolutionThis issue will be resolved in a future release of the RSA Authentication Agent for Windows.
