IssueAfter upgrading to 6.8.1 P11+ or 6.9.1+, accessing custom files (such as special files setup for requests and reviews) from the User Interface (UI) results in the following error:

User-added image
and the file(s) are not able to be accessed. Prior to the upgrade, these files were accessible.
 
CauseCertain directories in IMG have been 'locked' down for security reasons. One of these directories is:
$AVEKSA_HOME/.../aveksa.ear/aveksa.war  


If custom files are located in this directory, access to these files from the UI will be denied with this error:
HTTP Status 403 - Access to the requested resource has been denied 


 
ResolutionMove the files that need to be accessed from the UI, into the 'custom' subfolder of this same directory.
For example, move the custom files
From:
/jboss-4.2.2.GA/server/default/deploy/aveksa.ear/aveksa.war/ 
To:
/jboss-4.2.2.GA/server/default/deploy/aveksa.ear/aveksa.war/custom
 
Then change the URL to point to the new location. For example:
From:
https://hostname.domain.com/aveksa/filename
To:

https://hostname.domain.com/aveksa/custom/filename

NOTE: If the files are custom jsp files, then do the following:
Move the custom jsp files

From:

/jboss-4.2.2.GA/server/default/deploy/aveksa.ear/aveksa.war/ 

To:

/jboss-4.2.2.GA/server/default/deploy/aveksa.ear/aveksa.war/custom/jsp

 

Then change the URL to point to the new location as follows:

From:
https://hostname.domain.com/aveksa/filename.jsp
To:


https://hostname.domain.com/aveksa/custom.jsp?page=filename.jsp
