Resolution

Connect to the appliance through Remote Desktop

Follow the below steps for connecting to appliance through RDP:

Open the remote desktop via the web gui or use standard RDP client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8198

Copy the license.rec file to a secure and  convenient location on your Appliance (such as the desktop). 

Go to Start ---> Programs ---> RSA Security ---> RSA Authentication Manager Control Panel 
?
Start and Stop Authentication manager services
?Stop All.

RSA Authentication Manager Control Panel  ---> Upgrade License


Go through the license upgrade as per normal Authentication Manager procedures.Note that a message is thrown during the procedure and troubleshoot that message. 

NOTE: For instructions, see ?Accessing Remote Desktop for Windows Administration Tasks? on page 53 of the RSA SecurID Appliance 2.0 Owner?s Guide.


In case if you receive the error message as below:

?Your current license version is higher than the one replacement version ? continue yes ? no?.

This message is for informational purposes only. Simply press the "OK" button to proceed with the license upgrade in RSA Authentication Manager 6.1.
