|Issue||RSA NetWitness Live Manager service log file repeats "1 DeploymentJobs to process" every minute.|
The RSA NetWitness Live Manager log file LiveManagerService-<YYYYMMDD>.log file reports a warning similar to the following that repeats every minute:
Problems with certain resources in our CMS back-end have caused certain subscribed-to CMS resources to download but then not deploy properly. Once the Live Manager service has downloaded a resource to be pushed, it is then added to a SQL table called DeploymentJob, which is then iterated over by a DeploymentJob worker process, which pushes the resource(s) to the devices specified in the Live Manager profile. Unfortunately, once a job has been added to the DeploymentJob table, it will never be automatically be removed unless it has been successfully pushed.
NOTE: This problem has NO practical impact on Live Manager's functionality - it will continue to operate normally with the exception of the repeated log message.
Clear Live Manager's DeploymentJob SQL table manually using the steps in the attached PDF document.
These steps assume that you are using Live Manager 18.104.22.168 and have SQL Server Manager Studio 2008 R2 installed (you can obtain SSMS from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=22985).
SSMS should be installed on all Windows 2008 NetWitness Informer Appliances. Note that SSMS 2005 will NOT work as it cannot access SQL Server Compact DB's.
