Issue

When going to the Administration -> System -> Global Notifications -> Templates screen, clicking the Remove ( - ) button, and then clicking Yes, no changes are made to the configuration.

Attempting to create, edit or delete a global notification server, template, or output will also not display the necessary dialog window to apply the changes.
At the time of the incident, the /var/lib/netwitness/uax/logs/sa.log file on the Security Analytics server reports an error similar to the example below.

org.springframework.web.util.NestedServletException: Request processing failed; nested exception is java.lang.NullPointerException 



When editing global notification output, no change will be made when attempting to change any value and clicking the Save button. 
However, when clicking on the Cancel button, apparently the Output appears to have been edited.

ResolutionThis issue has been resolved in Security Analytics 10.5.0.1.
