IssueWINSCP or ftp from command line using ftp protocol gives the following error:

Disconnect from server.

Connection Failed.

OOPS: Child Died.
If change the default home directory from /home/oracle/ftp to /home/ftpuser
~]# usermod -d /home/ftpuser ftpuser
get the following error instead:




500 OOPS: cannot change directory:/home/ftpuser

Login failed.
 
CauseAccess to home directories has been denied. 
 
ResolutionEnable ftp_home_dir Boolean to allows authenticated users to read and write to files in their home directories. 
To enable this ftp_home_dir Boolean by running the following command as the root user:

~]# setsebool -P ftp_home_dir=1
