IssueA new install (not from an upgrade) of Malware Analysis will NOT be able to acquire a Computer Id (CID).
This will result in Malware Analysis not being able to register and request community scoring from the RSA Cloud.
ResolutionThis issue has been permanently resolved in Security Analytics
WorkaroundIt is necessary to install the package NwLicenseCommand via yum for Malware Analysis to get the CID at run time.
Please use the following Instructions below:
  1. Access the Malware Analysis appliance server via ssh. 
  2. Install the package: yum install nwlicensecommand
  3. Verify installation by checking the file nwlicensecommand exists in /usr/sbin.
  4. Restart the Malware Analysis service or appliance.
