IssueThe following error is returned when running puppet agent -t on Security Analytics server as well as on other Security Analytics appliances.
Error: Could not retrieve catalog from remote server: Error 400 on SERVER: Invalid parameter provider on Package[stompgem] at /etc/puppet/modules/mcollective/manifests/init.pp:68 on node 571d98c5-2439-4400-89cd-53390e0ff6c9 
Warning: Not using cache on failed catalog
Error: Could not retrieve catalog; skipping run

Due to this issue, Security Analytics appliances cannot be enabled successfully.
CauseOne of the possible causes is upgrading the Security Analytics server through the Security Analytics UI.
ResolutionPlease open an SSH session to the Security Analytics server and follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
It is important that services are stopped before reinstalling rsa-puppet-scripts.
  1. service puppet stop
  2. service puppetmaster stop
  3. service mcollective stop
  4. yum reinstall rsa-puppet-scripts
  5. service mcollective start
  6. service puppetmaster start
  7. service puppet start
  8. puppet agent -t
