IssueIntroducing a Cross Reference or Related Record Field to an Application may negatively impact Data Feed performance.
Resolution
  1. If the Data Feed is not updating anything in the Cross-Referenced field, you can add a token to the Data Feed that turns off content saves on the Cross-Referenced Records. (link only token.)
  2. If the Data Feed is only linking to Records in the Cross-Referenced Application and not updating Fields or creating new Records in the Cross-Referenced Application, you can also turn off content saves on the Cross-Referenced Records. (link only token.)
  3. If you do want to update or create records in the Cross-Referenced Application, run a separate Data Feed into that Application using the same data set, but turn off content saves on the Related Records from the original Application, (link only token). Run the original data feed using Option 2 above. Two Data Feeds set up this way is exponentially faster than trying to just run one Feed that updates two Applications.
You may want to use both the Cross Reference and Related Reference LinkOnly tokens in the same Data Feed by placing the following Token(s) in the Data Feed configuration under the “Source Definition” tab and “Tokens” subtab.  NOTE: Tokens are case-sensitive.

LinkOnly

When this token is set, the data feed process does not update content in any cross-reference fields. The data feed updates the link between the two applications.

RelatedReferencesMode

LinkOnly

When this token is set, the data feed process does not update content in any related-record fields. The data feed updates the link between the two applications.
