|Issue||Problems installing Keon Certificate Authority with IE browser|
Using IE 5.0sp2, the browser hangs when accessing secured web site.
Tried upgrading to IE 5.5 and saw no difference.
|Cause||When running the through the nCipher Security World installation wizard, there is a box that is checked by default that basically configures the nCipher device to be the default Cryptographic Service Provider (CSP) for SSL keys. This sets the nCipher CSP to be the default CSP for Microsoft, thus IE tries to use this CSP when doing the SSL connection to the Apache Web Server.|
|Resolution||Run through the nCipher Security World wizard again and uncheck the box that configures the nCipher device to be the default CSP for SSL keys. This can also be changed using the Registry Settings that are outlined in chapter 8 on page 221 in the nCipher "Key management user guide, Windows for nForce & nShield".|
