IssuePromise array partition recovery

After a firmware upgrade, the Promise Storage Array can no longer be seen by the appliance operating environment. The partition no longer shows up in Microsoft''s Operating System.

You will need to connect directly to the Promise Array.

  1. Launch Hyper Terminal (Settings should be 115200, 8 bit, 1 stop bit, no parity, no flow control.)
  2. When the HyperTerminal window opens, press Enter to start the CLU
  3. On the main menu select option 6 (SCSI assignment)
  4. Next chose option 1 (Channel TID?s)
  5. Next select 1 to modify channel 1
  6. Choose y to modify channel 1 TID
  7. Type 0 for TID =0 for channel 1
  8. Press enter
  9. Next select 2 to modify channel 2
  10. Choose Y to modify channel 2 TID
  11. Type 0 for TID =0 for channel 2
  12. Press enter
  13. Press R to finish
  14. Power down The VTRAK 15100
  15. Power up the VTRAK 15100.

On the enVision server under Start/Programs/Administrative tools/Computer Management/ Disk Management. Verify that the Promise array is visible from the server.

Note: You may have to rescan the disks under the ACTIONS menu
