IssueError: "Unable to connect to log database"
Cause

The problem is caused by one of the following conditions:

1. The sdadmind process is not running or defined

2. There is a problem with hostname resolution from the client running RSA ACE/Server Remote Administration

3. networking issue, such as a firewall blocking a required port

Resolution1. On the RSA ACE/Server primary, perform the following steps:

  a. Edit C:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\services\ and ensure there is an entry for sdadmind as follows:

        "sdadmind        5550/tcp        #Remote Administration"

  b. Launch RSA ACE/Server Remote Administration

2. Confirm a successful hostname resolution map from the client running Remote Administration connecting to the ACE/Server:

  a. Create an entry in the local hosts file by editing C:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts using the following format:

         IP Address                                   Hostname                             Comment

  b. Save and close the hosts file

  c. Launch RSA ACE/Server Remote Administration
