IssueKeon: How to import a PKCS#7 file into Internet Explorer
When the user double clicks on a PKCS#7 file (.pb7), Internet Explorer imports only one of the Intermediate Certification Authorities. The Root Certificate will not be imported.
CauseThis problem was seen only on the Windows NT platform. When the user double clicks on a ".p7b" file, Windows treats the PKCS#7 file as a single certificate.
ResolutionTo correct this issue, manually import the PKCS#7 file into Internet Explorer using the following steps:

1. Start Internet Explorer
2. From Internet Explorer's top menubar, select "Tools" -> "Internet Options" -> "Content" tab -> Click "Certificates" -> Click "Import" and follow the Wizard Prompts to import the ".p7b" file

NOTE 1: If the import was successful, a dialog box appears reading "Do you want to add the following certificate to the Root Store?"
NOTE 2: This workaround is not necessary on Windows 2000
NOTE 3: The file must have the extension ".p7b" (Cryptographic Message Syntax Standard)
