Environment with multiple/redundant dispatchers

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

It has been reported that in some cases the dispatcher process would suddenly stop working correctly.

In the debug log for the dispatcher there are  exceptions relating to an out of memory condition start appearing around the time the dispatcher became unresponsive:

For example:

                  16:24:48:245 [*] [Thread-288784] - LogEventDispatcher: current log level is 20 event's log level is 10 java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

Make sure that the parameter cleartrust.keyserver.local_id in keyserver.conf contains a unique local ID for each keyserver.

If the parameter is identical on all keyservers (default: "cleartrust.keyserver.local_id=localhost:5609" ) you are likely to hit this issue.

After adapting this parameter in all keyserver.conf files please restart the dispatchers on all machines.

For additional information, please see the RSA Access Mananger 6.0 install_config.pdf file on page 139.

Documentation is available online at RSA SecurCare Online.
