IssueHow to resolve retry count failure in RSA ClearTrust Agent 4.6 for Apache 2.0
CT_SERVER_TIMED_OUT and RTAPI 7,719 error messages appear in the Apache web agent log.  Also, the web agent log shows that the authorization server is down. Examples of the error messages are shown below:

Jan 18, 2006 10:54:15 AM EST - [-1218545504] - <Debug> - RTAPI authorization, returned error: 7,719, return code: 0
Jan 17, 2006 04:02:18 PM EST - [-1218541408] - <Critical> - Critical error: CT_SERVER_TIMED_OUT
Jan 18, 2006 10:54:15 AM EST - [-1218545504] - <Debug> - #1 <X.X.X.X>:5615 down
CauseAfter initially failing to contact to the authorization server, RSA ClearTrust Agent 4.6 for Apache tries to establish a connection up to the limit defined in the cleartrust.agent.retry_count parameter (the default value is 5). This is a known issue where the Agent ignores this value and does not send additional connection requests to the authorization server.
ResolutionThis issue has been resolved in a hot fix for RSA ClearTrust Agent 4.6 for Apache. Contact RSA Security Customer Support to obtain hot fix 4.6.0.98, or request the latest fix level (which is cumulative, and contains fixes from previous fix levels). This hot fix also enhances the logging functionality of the Agent so more detailed error information is generated.
