Error codes other than '1' can be returned by Administration API functions
CauseThe 0 or 1 return values are pre-version-5.1 legacy behavior in RSA ACE/Server. Version 5.1 and up Administration API functions return error codes contained in the header file ace/utils/toolkit/api_errors.h.

Existence of api_errors.h is documented on page 12 of the RSA ACE/Server 5.2 Administration Toolkit Reference Guide. Additionally, page 19 describes a technique for suppressing these error codes for applications written in pre-version-5.1 that are linked with a 5.1 or newer API library.
