IssueHow to configure RSA Federated Identity Manager (FIM) 3.0 to use a different JVM
Error: "There was a problem processing your request. Insert request failed. INSERT INTO DOMAINOBJECT (DOMAINOBJECT_ID,DUMMY) VALUES (?,?)" in RSA Federated Identity Manager (FIM) 3.0 when using Quick Setup - Configure My System
CauseBEA WebLogic RSA Federated Identity Manager (FIM) 3.0 domain was configured to use BEA WebLogic JRockit when it should be configured to use Sun Java
ResolutionTo correct this issue, change the JAVA_HOME value in the <BEA_HOME>/<FIM_domain_directory> to the appropriate Sun JDK within the BEA WebLogic install directory. The WebLogic Platform 8.1 SP5 software supports the following Java 2 SDKs:

- Sun Java 2 SDK 1.4.2_08

- BEA WebLogic JRockit 1.4.2_08 SDK

If you are upgrading a domain from SP4 to SP5, the script in that domain that sets the JAVA_HOME variable needs to be modified to point to the new SDK that has been installed. This script is located in the domain's root directory. Depending on the type of domain you are upgrading, this variable is set in either the setDomainEnv or startWebLogic script.

To update the value of the JAVA_HOME variable, set it to the directory containing the Sun 1.4.2 directory, e.g.:

set JAVA_HOME=C:\bea\jdk142_08
