IssueHow does RSA ClearTrust enforce license information? What happens when limit is reached?
ResolutionUsing a SQL datastore such as Sybase or Oracle, the number of users is unlimited. If other types of datastore are used, the following is a recommendation by the respective manufacturers:

Active Directory: 5000 users / group
Sun ONE Directory Server: 20,000 for any multivalued LDAP attribute such as a user (thus 20,000 users per group)

These are the limitations placed on group membership; therefore, theoretically speaking, you can have unlimited groups limited only by disk space and CPU. However, the ClearTrust server will log a warning message if the number of users exceeds the user limit stored in the ClearTrust license file.
