IssueSaving / Applying / Editing a record results in an unexpected error. Following error is reported in the RSA Archer website for a record save / apply / edit event:

An unexpected error has occurred in the system. The error log Reference ID is ######-######-####. Please try your request again. If problem persists, please contact system administrator.

Cause

Issue is caused by an empty tab set located at the bottom of the application layout. This empty tab set is only viewable when editing the application layout via Manage Application menu.

Resolution

This issue is resolved by removing the empty tab set located at the bottom of the application layout. Please follow the steps below:

 

- Login to the RSA Archer website where problem application resides. Please use the RSA Archer 'System Administrator' credentials.

- Browse to the application layout tab via Navigation Menu > Administration > Application Builder > Manage Application > 'Problem Application'

- On the layout tab, scroll down to the end of the page and locate the empty tab set.

- Click the empty tab set option drop down menu and select 'Delete tab set'. Confirm deletion and save the application layout settings.

-  Please verify the fix by testing a record save / apply / edit event.
