Issue | Error: "errSDRealmOpenDefault with (Error 21002)"; Error: "errConnectToDBs with (Error 21006)" Error: errConnectToDBs with (Error 21006) Error: open default realm failed in admin_server with (Error 21002) Error: The description for Event ID ( 16126 ) in Source ( SDADMIND ) could not be found. It contains the following insertion string(s): in admin_server cannot open default realm with (Error 21002) |
Cause | The above errors usually occur together when there has been a bad or corrupt installation of ACE/Server. This can occur under the following circumstances: 1) Insufficient diskspace 2) Insufficient permissions on the directories ACE/Server needs to create and/or access 3) Conflict with existing software 4) Incorrect installation 5) Incorrect patching 6) Disk errors |
Resolution | In order of severity: 1) Check permissions (please refer to the installation manual for the correct permissions required - if still in doubt please contact RSA Customer Service) 2) Create more diskspace and check disk for errors 3a) (if patching) Attempt to repatch ACE/Server 3b) (if installing) Attempt to reinstall ACE/Server 4) Uninstall unnecessary software 5) Try a completely fresh install on a new machine |
