Receiving an invalid password when trying to import a PKCS #12 message created with RSA BSAFE Cert-C
CauseInternet Explorer supports a limited number of algorithms that can be used to sign the PKCS #12 message.  If an unsupported algorithm is used then you will receive an invalid password error when importing the message.
Another factor is whether or not you have the Internet Explorer high encryption pack installed to allow the use of larger keys.  Check the cipher strength in the "Help | About Internet Explorer" box.
ResolutionUse either 3 key Triple DES with CBC padding or use 40 bit RC2 with CBC padding for the encryption method.
